Science Brazil is one of six backbone projects within the scope of InWeb, and intends to provide tools with which to gather more and better knowledge on the Brazilian scientific production, seen under various perspectives. The initial focus includes the research groups that compose all INCTs, with the objective of assessing the impact of these groups on the Brazilian scientific scenario.
Data collection and integration tools are being conceived and implemented, so that information on the scientific production of researchers, as available over various Web sources (for instance, the Brazilian national resumé database, “Curriculo Lattes”), can be generated. The resulting platform allows for a range of analysis instruments, and makes the information available online for the community through a Web portal. It also constitutes an experimentation environment for Web data management tools and techniques, which is one of InWeb’s main lines of research.
The portal can be accessed here.
