The main goal of the workshop is to bring together the researchers from the four universities that compose the institute to present the research results from the current year and plan ahead for the next.

This year the workshop has two invited external researchers: Manfred Hauswirth, a professor from National University of Ireland and also the vice-diretor of Digital Enterprise Research Institute (DERI), and professor Marcos Antônio Casanova, from the Informatics Department at PUC-Rio.
